Residents and staff participated in Red Cross CPR and AED classes, followed by a successful blood drive. With many first‑time donors and 22 units of blood collected, we’re grateful for everyone who joined us in supporting health, safety, and community care.
Residents celebrated summer together at our Sip & Dip: Margarita Edition! Everyone enjoyed refreshing margaritas, tasty dips and light bites, and great company in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Residents of Hayes Barton Place enjoyed a peaceful visit to the North Carolina Buddhist Temple in Durham. Home to resident Buddhist monks who live at the temple year-round, the temple serves as a place of worship, meditation, and spiritual learning. The monks guide the temple's spiritual activities and welcome visitors from all backgrounds to learn about Buddhist traditions.
The temple offers regular meditation programs and Sunday services, creating opportunities for reflection, mindfulness, and community. During our visit, residents experienced the serene atmosphere, beautiful grounds, and warm hospitality that make the temple a special destination for those seeking peace, learning, and spiritual enrichment. ... The Snake Experience stopped by Hayes Barton Place with 12 incredible reptiles, each one bigger than the last… until we met Buttercup, an 11‑foot python who instantly became the star of the day. 🐍 Everyone loved getting up close and personal with these amazing creatures — and for some, it was their very first time meeting a reptile! 🦎🐢
Our Hawaiian Party at Bloomsbury brought sunshine, color and plenty of island‑style fun! 🌺🌴✨ Residents enjoyed tropical music, festive leis and cheerful photo moments that made the whole day feel like a getaway.
