A Winning First for the Hayes Barton Place Olympic Games
Our residents recently came together for a milestone moment, our very first Olympic Games, and the excitement was impossible to miss. Launched by Liberty Senior Living in 2018 for its independent living communities, the Olympic Games are designed to inspire movement, spark mental engagement, and strengthen meaningful connections.
The week began with a festive kickoff social featuring a 15-piece band, setting the tone for days filled with energy and camaraderie. Residents had the opportunity to participate in various activities from physical competitions like shot put, balloon toss, and water basketball to brain games such as trivia and chess.
“It was our first Olympics, and I had so many residents speak to the community-building the events created,” said Shannon Hardy, Life Enrichment Director.
In late March, Hayes Barton Place hosted the top competitors from its sister communities for the Liberty Games this year.
